I think it’s pretty crazy how music can make us feel so many different emotions with just a couple beats or strums of a guitar. Music makes me feel happy more often than not, sometimes even sad music makes me happy just because I feel like I have something to relate to. So many people experience music in so many different ways too. To some their the lead singer in a band performing in front of thousands of people, or just strumming a couple cords on their guitar after a long day of work, it can even be the mirror they sing in front of when no one is home. Music impacts all of our lives in so many different ways every day.
I think for me the two main ways I experience music is through my phone and car radio. I listen to music so much on my phone and I really want to sit down one say and make my “dream” playlist but it would probably take forever.
I love to listen to music in the car usually the radio is good enough but I really wanna get an aux cord so I can play whatever music I want. I cant wait till I get my own house or apartment and I can just play music all the time. That’s the dream.
A couple days ago I saw a video of this girl playing the drums and it made me think about the way we all experience music differently. I dont think I’ve ever been the “creator” of my own music like playing the guitar or piano. The most I’ve done is sing, I was in choir for a couple years but I wasnt any good. Right now I really wanna learn how to play the drums.
Although I think I’m going to wait until summer because my stepdad and I are off and hes a pretty good drummer. Hopefully he’ll teach me and I won’t be too bored or bad at it.

I think there’s so many good songs out there that just get overplayed and end up being annoying, which is a shame. I used to hate Drake just because literally everyone was listening to his new album.
After that I started listening to rap, but I got bored of that pretty quick too. One of my best friends showed me some alternative bands like Panic At The Disco! and Fall Out Boy and I was hooked. I got the alternative radio on Pandora but overtime rock songs that I really liked kept popping up. that lead to me listening to hard rock and then screamo lmao.
Any song we listen to; sad, happy, mad we’re usually listening to because we feel the same way and it helps us feel understood. As humans all we really want is to be understood and with millions and millions of songs out their at least a few of them are guaranteed to relate to us one way or another. Sometimes music can describe the feelings that we can’t and that’s pretty cool.
